Remote/In-Person Hearings

HMCTS continue to list hearings to be heard in person and remotely. Practice varies from court to court. Please help us, when booking your hearing, by having details to hand of whether the hearing is taking place in person or remotely.

Please confirm in your instructions whether or not you have received any confirmation that the hearing is either proceeding in person, or taking place remotely. If the Court have not specified then we shall treat the hearing as requiring attendance in person.

If the court has nominated you to organise a remote hearing by telephone, LPC Law can arrange this for you upon request. Please ensure that you provide us with the contact details for all interested parties to be added to the remote hearing. LPC Law charge a minimum disbursement of £46 plus VAT to cover the cost of the telecon provider.

If you instruct LPC Law to attend a remote hearing and you do not require us to organise this, the contact details of the advocate will be emailed to you when the Advocate has accepted the instruction and will be available via LPC Online 5 working days before the hearing for you to provide to the court/your telecon provider as appropriate.

Please feel free to contact Partner & Head of Advocacy, Pete Blackmore (pete.blackmore@lpc-law.co.uk) if you require anything further.
