Stage One Induction

New advocates will attend court with an experienced LPC advocate before attending an induction day.

At the induction day seminars are presented on good practice and case management; court orders; client care and confidentiality; costs; case preparation; and citation of authorities

Practical exercises are conducted to develop advocates’ negotiation and conferencing skills.

Advocates’ first briefs are carefully selected and advocates attend a workshop, during which the finer points of their brief are examined with a Senior Advocate. Advocates are advised on how to deal with any potential problems, assisted in the preparation of their bundles and development of submissions.
