Shadowing

Three to five weeks after their first case, advocates are shadowed by a Senior Advocate. The Senior Advocate observes the advocate in court for the day and grades their performance according to the same criteria as the oral advocacy assessment. Advocates are interviewed to ensure they have adopted good working practices and are fully versed on relevant case authorities. The advocate is advised on any areas for improvement.
