One of the reasons I joined LPC was because I liked the prospect of being selfemployed and managing my own workload. Although the hours are sometimes long, there can also be a lot of free time if you juggle your workload effectively.

The work is extremely varied – on any given day there might be several hearings concerning three or more different areas of law. So far I have represented Claimants in possession and debt cases, applications to set aside judgment, case management conferences and directions hearings. On the BVC the Civil Procedure Rules were something abstract to be grappled with, I now use them confidently everyday at court.
